RE: I'm here to help you
What kind of financial commitment is considered worthwhile for a minimum investment? I don't like to squander my money - yet want to make a realistic stake. Any thoughts?

Hi Moneybags,
Forex trading is exciting and can be very rewarding!
My advice is always try the demo first. This gives you a good insight into the Metatrader (MT4) forex trading system.
With the demo you are actually trading in real-time with real currency spreads, but you are risking "fun points" instead of hard-earned money.

Then when you are confident the minimum investment you need to make to open/fund an account is €300 on a MINIFOREX account.

I actually started off on a different system sometime back with an initial investment of $8 and now my balance is $87 and I only trade as a hobby!

Hope that helps Moneybags and thanks for joining the forum.

The Forex Master was right, forex trading can be a very exciting and lucrative business to venture on, but it must be dealt with properly using comprehensive knowledge and best practices. For first timers, it is not bad to start on small amounts like $8 and turning it into a mere $79. After all nobody wants to lose big money on their first venture.

Hi Forex Guy, as a forex beginner it is quite difficult to make money currency trading. Finding which forex strategies work can be hard. It is not advisable to spend money on expensive forex courses as it is possible to get all the info you need to be a successful forex trader online for free. Forex trading forums like this one are usually good resources. I would also advise getting a company that does free forex seminars / webinars. As a beginner to currency trading I would advise company like makemoneycurrencytrading dot co dot uk as they teach you their strategies for free.
